Happy Endings 1 by KlakKlak Happy Endings 1 by KlakKlak

Last part of the Happy Endings series. Actually, I uploaded these in reverse order of how they were completed, but they're numbered right.

I honestly can't remember when or for what class I started these. I didn't submit them earlier because I wasn't happy with the plain ink drawings, and didn't get around to finishing them in Photoshop until now. It feels good to have them done. :)

So here's the end of The Three Little Pigs, with the wolf falling down the chimney into the fire.

Um.... not sure if this needs a mature warning?

Does the title imply a series? 8D I would love to see more of these with other folk tales. The art style reminds me of those old-school, realistic and morbid illustrations in children's tales, as opposed to modern picture books.

Ha, then what? He got annoyed that he was wet, figured the Pigs had had enough hardship after he ruined a perfectly good soup, and then left? =P

Looks sufficiently painful. I love how you made the fur singe and burn, and how the cooking water and flames burn the flesh. Nice attention for detail there and well executed with the ink. :)
This doesn't need a warning per se, considering the amount of bloody pictures kids post these days (and most of the time without warnings). It wouldn't hurt though, if you want to be absolutely sure.

For once the wolf isn't being glorified.

Don't glorify the wolf but jeez people don't go crazy because it kills people and cattle. It's tragic when an animal kills a human, but y'know, we kill them, we kill other humans. Nature is pretty and all but it's just as deadly when you get down to it. ._. btw not saying you went crazy or anything, you're fine. just kind of felt like stating that and it sort of had to do with what you were saying sort of kind of i'm gonna go hide in a corner now bye

It's gotten to the point where people believe that wolves were just misunderstood. The truth is that they still kill cattle and people. I'm not saying its a good thing to misunderstand any animal, but its even worse to ignore the truth.

What truth? Wolves barely even kill cattle, and people, hardly at all (like, hardly at all in hundreds of years of documented records). Of course wolves are misunderstood, and these stories are no help in that matter.

You might want to check your sources. Wolves kill people every day in India.

Ignoring the truth that they still will kill people just like any other predator. They're just as dangerous as pumas, bears, and the occasional coyote. It's just ludicrous they they get special treatment only because people once hunted them en masse.

I guess wolves are "speshul". Lets forget about the tigers that are being killed off. I don't see anyone defending them when someone draws a picture of a tiger getting killed. It's hypocritical.

No, they won't kill people just like any other predator. If they're just as dangerous as pumas and bears then how come wolves will actively avoid human contact (unlike the aforementioned two). It's wrong that tigers are being killed off but that doesn't make it any less wrong that wolves are killed off too. They are animals and this vilification of them doesn't help, that's all I'm saying.

Because (I see you're mostly referring to North America here) wolves were wiped out over much of the USA (no wolves=no attacks), whereas cougars and bears got off comparatively lightly.

In some Asian countries, wolves are definately among the most dangerous of predators.

Oh please, they're carnivores. And oh what's this?

Not to mention all the livestock attacks in Russia, where wolves are their coyotes.

Oh, and to conclude, from the link you gave me I quote:

"Compared to other carnivorous mammals known to attack humans in general, the frequency with which wolves have been recorded to kill or prey on people is much lower, indicating that though potentially dangerous, wolves are among the least threatening for their size and predatory potential"

Poor wolf XD. Do you intend to make some of wicked stepmothers meeting their just deserts too ? ( I seem to remember that in Snow White she was sentenced to wearing red-hot iron shoes which made her dance to death, no doubt while the good king and Snow White gloated… )

Actually, I did consider it. I did some preliminary sketches for Cinderella (something about cutting off toes to fit into the shoes), but sort of lost interest. For now it's just the wolves. I may come back to it in the future. :) Snow White's a good one.

This one is probably the most gruesome, but at the same time my favorite :) There is something very chilling and perverse about those pigs watching the wolf roast, they seem more entertained or curious than appalled. The wolf's pose, with his paw in the cauldron, is very good as well.
