Finished commission for 
of her two saluki characters, Bullet and Sarah, as they take a time-out from the desert sun.
Thank you Ella, for being so patient with me! And for being so flexible. There was a lot of room for creativity, and I enjoyed this a lot when I wasn't stuck.

I only ask that you be specific when suggesting improvements.
Also, I'm aware that the dog on the left's fur is thicker than it ought to be, and the back wall is less rocky than I intended. Oh, and the dog on the right is supposed to be very dark - only when I first colored this, I made her back very light. So I tried to preserve that lightness by adding strong reflections. I'm not sure it reads very well...

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThe first thing that caught my eye about this was the gentle playfulness that both characters seem to hold. There is a sense of companionship between the two that only years of traveling together can hold and a sense of trust in their eyes.
The soft lighting as well, while eluding to a time of day is also wonderfully soft the way it plays across the character to the rights body. I'm not entirely sure how you go about doing your fur but it looks amazingly soft like one could reach out and touch it. I really adore how it makes everything feel. Even the ground they lady on looks soft even though I know it must be rock.
